This is the second time that I have visited silver seas. My first visit i really enjoyed and thought it was excellent value for money and the views from the hotel are absolutely magnificent. The second visit unfortunately was not as enjoyable. The hotel is not for someone who wants luxury but it does have some appeal, it is in... more

First of all, i stayed at this hotel three times. August of 1984, August of 1986 and May of 1989. From what I have read, it is still the simple place for simple people to visit and truly experience Jamaica. It is not a tourist trap with A.C., Cable T.V. and exotic food. Each visit, I arrived in the afternoon.... more

If you basically want a place to sleep and shower, this is the place. When I went to Jamaica, I didnt want to be a tourist so I met people to get the full Jamaican experience, the only tourist thing I did was Dunns River Falls and 9 Mile (Bob Marley Tour) The Hotel has a Beautiful view. The staff... more

We stayed in Silver Seas in October 2008. At first we booked in only for 1 night, as it was the only thing we could find on the net at reasonable prices, but ended up staying for over a week and coming back to it again during our travels around the country- it felt bit like coming home. We absolutely... more

My (now husband) surprised me with an engagment trip to Jamaica. Keep in mind that I had never been out of the Country. Keep in mind that this was in 2000. We had a great time just going out on our own and exploring the culture of Jamaica. I am usually apposed to "all inclusive resorts" because you don't get... more
