My husband and I got married here, and I have great memories of the place. The ride here was a seriously scary adventure, and the resort is not for those who can't deal with a little bit of "roughing it." But, it is wild and beautiful and off the beaten path. There is a wonderful patio and palapa bar overlooking the water, and the most beautiful gardens I've ever seen. The cabins don't have AC, but get plenty of breeze off the water, we were never too hot. The water and snorkeling there were wonderful. The only downside was no sandy beach, and the steps getting into the water were a little treacherous. My father nearly got injured. I wouldn't really bring kids here. The staff when we were there were friendly and fabulous and the cook (Miss June) lived up to her reputation. Since you are not really near a lot of restaurants, it's good that she was terrific.
