We loved this place! We stayed in a villa that almost hung over a cliff, so the view was amazing. The hotel grounds are beautiful! Lots of space between villas, tons of plant life, and a great beach. I have no idea what the above reviewers see in Frenchman's cove - it is not "retro" but rather, has not been cleaned or updated since 1955! A nice place to relax. The cabins are spacious, tucked away and quite nice. The best feature is the beach, a nice cove with a river flowing into it. The vegetation is wonderfully overgrown but the landscaping still bears the mark of humankind so that this hotel could serve as the set for a "The Haunted Resort" flic.
