Ivanhoe's Guest House lies on the hill of a peninsula, a little off the center of Port Antonio (5 Minutes walking distance). You have a beautiful view to all sides to the bays of Port Antonio. The surrounding is relatively quiet and safe, the house lies in an area of historic houses, some quite nice, some a little run down and shabby. The roads on that hill are horrible, bumpy and full of pot holes. The place itself is nice, not really huge, with lot of greens and plants. We found it clean, even if it's not equipped with brand new interior. We had room 22, which is located on the highest floor. It has A/C, nice romantic furniture, a great view and the bathroom is nice. Other rooms seemed smaller. Breakfast comes by order and is not included in the rate. You pick your choice from a blackboard and it's freshly prepared for you. Ivanhoe's offers a terrace, where breakfast is served, and some sofas wait for you to take a rest.
