We spent 2 nights here just to avoid the exhorbitant prices at Copa Marina since we were on a business trip and weren't going to be lounging on the beach. Parador Guanica 1929 is definitely not for the resort crowd. This is a great place for travellers who are self-sufficient - there is nothing happening in Guanica or the surrounding towns. We loved the "off the beaten track" location - near some gorgeous beaches and 40 minutes from both Ponce and the West Coast of PR.
