My experience at this hotel was the worst I have ever had. The room we got smelled as a cementery. I have never been in a room so humid as this one. The AC was dropping and the carpet was wet. We stayed there for one night. Never ever again! more

If you are on a budget, and need a clean, place just to lay your head down at night, the Regency is the place to go. For $89 a night, you get what you paid for, and a little more. My husband, 8 month old son and I stayed at the Regency Hotel this past October from Oct 15-Oct 19,... more
This hotel was found on the travelocity website and was supposedly a Four Star listed hotel. It should be listed as a NO STAR hotel. Our flight arrived late into San Juan as scheduled. We arrived at the hotel at 11 PM. The Doorman/Bellhop watched us struggle our luggage from the taxi cab to the counter. The desk clerk stated... more
We stayed at this hotel from October 19-26,2004. After reading some of the reviews, we arrived somewhat apprehensive, wondering what kind of mess we were getting into. To our surprise we ended up with excellent accommodations: a suite with a full kitchen and large refrigerator, king size bed and large, living-dining area. This is a no frills hotel, but with... more
I stayed at the Regency for 1 night prior to a cruise. The staff was great--I asked for and received an oceanview room which was a good deal at my Hotwire rate. Beautiful view! However, as others have commented, the room was damp and a bit moldy smelling. There are none of the common amenities such as an iron, safe,... more
We just got back from PR, where we stayed at the Regency from 6-20 August 2004. While I got a great rate online, the old adage "You get what you pay for" applies. My number one complaint is No internet access. Not through the room phone via dialup (probably because they use Sprint as their carrier, which is a lousy... more
The regency looked okay from the outside but once you enter its like a old dungeon. One of the staff member was extremely polite and customer friendly, but the others made false promises. For example, we called for an iron and it took two days to get to our room, they provided no wash cloth we had to walk to... more
The last reviewer got it right, however was too kind. We got a good deal on Hotwire as well thinking one night at a two star hotel couldn't be that bad. Rundown hotel, with very marginal appointments, bed and bathrooms. Would not stay there again. more
I stayed at the Regency for 1 night recently. I admit that I got a good deal on Hotwire, but this time I lowered my standards and took a lesser quality, 2 star, hotel thinking, "It's only for 1 night, it can't be too bad." I was right. For 1 night only, it wasn't horrible, but I would not recommend... more
My friend and I stayed at the Regency hotel earlier this month and were very pleased with the accommodations. We have had the experience in the past of getting a shabby room because we paid less, but the Regency exceeded our expectations. Our room was large and very clean. The hotel staff are extremely helpful. Do not job the hotel... more
