My wife & I stayed at the HIE for 2 nights pre cruise. We have stayed here before and liked it. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are adequate for what we need. The breakfast is nice. You are a short walk from the beach and the bus is accessible to San Juan for .75. more

This hotel is a great place to stay. Lots of nearby restaurants and shopping. Beach is literally a two minute walk with bathroom access and showers. I went with 3 of my girlfriends and would stay there again without second guessing it. Parking is a bit tight but a bonus having it. The place is extremely clean!!! more

There's nothing fancy about this hotel, but it offers everything you would expect from a Holiday Inn and it made a perfect base for our three days in San Juan. This was a nice, affordable post cruise hotel. We arrived at hotel about 10:00am. Even though posted check in time is 4:00pm they had us in a room before 11:00am! Stayed 5/8-5/11 for partners birthday. The location is great-luxury shopping around the corner (Cartier, Gucci, etc) and less than 1/2 a block from the beach. Rooms were larger than expected and the beds were very comfortable. Definitely a good hotel for a pre cruise staying. (or post cruise). Breakfast included had regular stuff (bread, pastries, cereals, juices, coffee, etc.) and very convenient as we don't have to go out for breakfast.
