very nice staff, helpful. went out of the way to help us with information and traveling tips. hotel was very clean. most of the rooms are really small with no windows. it was hard getting up in the morning with no natural light coming into the room. good deal for the price. more

The Howard Johnson (formally the Plaza de Armas) is by far the best hotel to be found in OSJ. It is located at the original Plaza and within a few blocks of literally all the museums and the Fort. We stayed one night before our cruise and it was fine-clean and save. It was in a great location and they held our luggage the next day after check out while we toured San Juan. We ate at Barchinna around the corner for lunch and it was fantastic-try the sangria and pina coladas. more
