The rooms are a great bargain if you're traveling solo or as a couple and don't mind losing sleep or wearing ear plugs. I stayed at La Posada for a week in December 08. Lisa the manager was friendly and helpful. It's a nice place, away from the busy main street and traffic. Small convenience store nearby. Only thing I didn't like was there's a lot of roosters in the neighborhood and I'm a late riser (unlike roosters). more

The place is right near downtown esperanza, if you could call it that, and is a very convenient place to explore the island. Lisa, the owner, is quite knowledgeable and enthusiastic abot the island. They even have a photo book of the island in the lobby to flip through. Woohoo! :) more
