What a trip this was. Arriving the first day we were ready to leave. Why you ask; It felt like one of those scary Vampire movies (once you arrived there was no escaping). Don't be fool we had a wonderful time. It was a step back in time and we loved it, from the warmth of our hosts Michel and... More

We spent our holidays on the neighbour-island sint-maarten but went to saba with winair for a day, mainly for the incredible flight and the intersting landing on the worlds shortest commercial airstrip. Saba really is a jewel, unknown by most people and that is what makes the island so special: it´s no place for tourism in the "carribean sense" as... More

To those of you who are lucky enough to have found Saba in the first place, this review is for you! As newly weds, we were looking for a relaxing way to spend a week. Michel and Lilianne were so welcoming. They made the whole stay so easy and carefree. There rooms are simple but quite and cool. You won't... More

The island of Saba is known as the "Unspoiled Queen" and definitely lives up to its name. The very best place to stay on the island is The Gate House. This tranquil bed and breakfast owned and operated by French born Michel and Lyliane Job, has the best restaurant on the island. As Lyliane so aptly put it, "We don't... More

Michel and Lyliane are wonderful hosts who make you feel as if you are a guest in their home. They are eager to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and to help you make the most of your stay on Saba - whether that means diving, hiking, or just relaxing and enjoying a fine glass of wine... We just returned from a trip to the lovely island of Saba, staying at The Gate House - a very special boutique hotel. The hotel is situated high on the mountain with a spectacular view of the ocean and several nearby islands. There is a balcony around the hotel which I particularly liked. I was able to be outside just... More

My wife and I just did a stopover from Anguilla to Saba for the first time and spent 3 nights. We absolutely loved the place. The island was fantastic and the gatehouse was an awesome place to stay. Michele and Lyliane were so personable and helpful. They took care of us from everything to a taxi ride to fantastic service... More

What a truly wonderful and completely relaxing vacation. Saba Island is perfect in its size, solitude, and extraordinary diving. All the people that I met from other travelers to tourist industry to locals were so wonderful and welcoming. Exceptional accolades must be given to Lyliane and Michel of the Gatehouse. The tiny hotel is perched on the hill looking across... More

Our stay at The Gate House was more enchanting than we could have imagined. Nestled high on the mountainside of Saba, The Gate House is a delightful boutique hotel. Our spacious room with private bath was charming and offered a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea and three neighbouring islands, St. Barts, St. Maarten and St. Eustatius. (we also enjoyed...
