We stayed ther for Xmas/New year ,the hotel was overbooked the staff were not helpfull ,the hotel managment were incapable of doing their jobs. We stayed here last November and would definitely go back. The location is fantastic for the beach and a bit of nightlife/restaurants etc. The all inclusive is excellent, the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially in the Papillon restaurant and the pool bar-tenders. After reading some reviews about the rex hotels we were a bit anxious about staying there. However it lived up to its 3 star rating. Admittedly the rooms could do with a refurbish but they were clean, the aircon worked, and mostly had good views. Stayed for a week November 2005. Hotel has everything you could wish for. Superb leisure facilities, Large rooms (cleaned every day, and fresh fruit etc left).
