after reading the reviews prior to departure i was dreading what awaited us,however as with most reveiws everyones taste and expectations are different so you need an open mind. we flew from glasgow to gatwick-st lucia and that was uneventful enough in fact it was great not having to worry about our luggage until we arrived at the final destination.... more

Location lovely, beautiful gardens and expected part black beaches of volcanic island. Service good but food not good except for Italian La Trattoria. Waterside Grill very poor. we went to asc as a large wedding group, and we all enjoyed. the hotel grounds are well maintained, 99% of the staff are very friendly, we paticularly liked enids restaurant , the pools were large enough and clean. the rooms were well looked after and very clean, and we had no problems with booking restaurants as you were able... more

The best advice I read on here regarding Almond Smugglers Cove is to stop reading the Reviews!!! Go to this hotel and enjoy. Yes the sandy beach has black sand mixed in.
