I am not going to write a huge review detailing every aspect because all other reviewers have done that for you already. All I can say is that I found East Winds Inn through researching islands on tripadvisor.com, booked it for our honeymoon based on the pictures and previous reviews, and now, six months later (married and honeymooned in Nov... more

We stayed at East Winds for the first 4 nights of our honeymoon (last three nights were at ladera). We loved it! Our typical day was something like this: wake up around 9-10, get breakfast, read out on the beach on some loungers, get a couple pina coladas, get lunch, back to reading on the beach loungers, go snorkling or... more

In reading travel reviews, one should consider the perspective of the reviewer. My wife and I have spent 25 years traveling the Caribbean, and have stayed in scores of properties on dozens of islands. Our friends consider us their unofficial travel consultants,as we've stayed at them all.....luxury,basic,all-inclusives,brand new properties, large resorts, small family run inns, etc. We believe we've developed a "sense" of what makes a stay enjoyable,and... more

We stayed a week at the East Winds Inn and loved it. St Lucia may not have the most perfect golden beaches in the Caribbean, and you certainly need good insect repellant because of the mosquitos (which are inevitable from verdant gardens and rainforests), but the hotel was lovely. It's peaceful and quiet (perhaps not appropriate for children therefore) with... more

This is the first time i have written one of these reviews and I know that I am a little late in writing this review but better late than never. My husband and I came to this resort during May Half Term last year for our Honeymoon. We spent 8 nights here and I cant wait to go back! This... more

You don't get:- bad self service food cooked from the deep freeze, arm bands, loud music on tannoys or from noisy selfish guests, strangers on the beach trying to sell you hair braiding - or worse!, cheap unknown brand drinks, extra charges for extra services, small cramped rooms where you can hear your neighbour's every move, not enough sun loungers... more

We have just returned from another fantastic holiday at Eastwinds Inn. 'Perfection' says it all:---------from the delightful, well equipped cottages, to the beautiful, exotic gardens, to the delicious, well presented food and of course to the free flowing wines, cocktails and champagne, but most of all, to the wonderful, professional and very friendly staff. A very special place! more

Having just read review by "pestersaurus" 16/4/09 re visit Dec 2008, as I was staying with my wife at East Winds last December I felt another viewpoint appropriate. We are fortunate to visit many other resorts but this is the only one we consistently return to. In fact this was our 21st visit since 1990, and always consider it excellent.... more

When planning our trip to East Winds we haunted this site to see what others had written but confess we have been too lazy up until now to write our own review! In part this is due to the fact that we would only be adding to all the other great reviews and we felt we hadn't much else to... more

A little late in posting this review. Sorry, this is going to be controversial! Booked 10 nights for the second part of our St Lucia holiday following a one week’s stay at Coco Palm. One of the main reasons we booked the hotel because of its reputation for fine dining and wines. We were so looking forward to East Winds... more

Management response from

RATING UNFIT FOR TRUE CONTROVERSY What is the relevance of posting a Management Response to a stay some five months ago, which begins “Sorry, this is going to be a bit controversial!”? Nonetheless, we feel obligated to set the record straight relative to these guests and this review and all our other guests’ experiences at East Winds Inn. Before specifically...
