We love St Lucia and its beautiful marine reserves around the whole island with all its beaches being public...you can swim anywhere you want! This was our 5th trip and our second time staying at Hummingbird Beach Resort (HBR). We still find this boutique hotel to be the best views there are of the Pitons looking across the water from... more

My wife and I recently returned from a 10 day stay at the Hummingbird Beach Resort, and we hope to return next year. The restaurant is wonderful, the vistas are romantic, the staff is friendly, and the prices are very fair. more

My boyfriend and I just returned from a week at the Hummingbird in St. Lucia. I would like to preface my review by saying that we prefer smaller and less touristy places. The Hummingbird fits the bill--it is a "resort" of 12 rooms with actual hummingbirds buzzing around. Everything is clean, functional and borderline cute. Staff and service was excellent... more

Before my actual stay in the Hummingbird, I had visited the hotel grounds, beach and restaurant for numerous times. It is a small, rustic hotel with only 10 rooms, right on the beach. The place is relatively nice and has good views of the Petit Piton (depending on your room choice). I decided to stay for couple of nights but... more

We stayed for just 3 days at Hummingbird. It was a totally delightful experience. We were in the least expensive room, but had access to all of the advantages of the resort. The restaurant was top notch. We loved the staff and the food and the ambiance. And for any snorkeling lovers this is paradise. Right down the beach is... more

There are many beautiful resorts in the hills around Soufriere, including old plantations etc. But if you want to stay in the actual town, the Hummingbird seems like the best option. HOTEL The hotel is lovely, with lots of flowering bushes. The hotel name is appropriate because there are plenty of hummingbirds around. The swimming pool is pretty small but... more

We spent 4 days at the Hummingbird's in January 09 and had a really great time! The staff was really helpful, always with a smile on their faces. We stayed in the Piton standard room. It was one of the cheapest rooms, but it was really really good. It had no AC, but since we had a ceiling fan and... more

I had read all the reviews for this resort and decided it would be the perfect getaway for our family of two sons with their spouses and our single, college-aged daughter. One of my husband's requirements was that he could hear the ocean from our bedroom, and that requirement was met!! Our bedroom was one of the rooms with the... more

A boyfriend and I spent NYE here. It was the best trip ever!! The owners are so nice! The property is small, low key, has that local feel to it. Restaurant is great as well. Nice band, dinner and fireworks on NYE. Private beach, but also lots of locals. loved that about it. Snorkel right from beach. Walk to town... more

I stayed at the Hummingbird Beach Resort on a business trip (I know, it was tough, but someone had to do it), so my experience might be somewhat different than people who stayed for vacation/holiday. However, I would wholeheartedly recommend the Hummingbird for either. Let's get this out of the way: if an all-inclusive with a sterile, 'don't ever have... more
