We liked that the resort was quiet, despite the take-off/landing of airplanes. It's literally next door to the casino, which we also liked. The on-site facilities were nice - rooms were clean, pool was clean, etc. The front desk staff weren't the friendliest of people, but they were helpful when asked. more

Got a great deal on Expedia for this hotel - around $100 - and were pleasantly surprised. Yes, you can hear (and see!) planes come in, but bring earplugs and you'll be fine. Beaches, Pools - this hotel... however they give you a hard time about using the pool across the street (at their sister building). Just got back from our honeymoon!!! IGNORE ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!! This place is awesome! From watching the planes take off and land, to the resort staff, to the Maho Beach area, everything was grand. The pool is always empty, and the late night swims are great. Just returned from a week at La Terrasse on the island of St. Maarten. After carefully reading the reviews posted on Tripadvisor, I was definitely disappointed with this hotel.
