We love to stay at the La Terrasse. In fact, we try to stay there everytime we go to St Maarten. We love the pool area with its view of the airport landings and takeoffs just on the near horizon, actually across the street. We liked that the resort was quiet, despite the take-off/landing of airplanes. It's literally next door to the casino, which we also liked. The on-site facilities were nice - rooms were clean, pool was clean, etc. The front desk staff weren't the friendliest of people, but they were helpful when asked. more

Got a great deal on Expedia for this hotel - around $100 - and were pleasantly surprised. Yes, you can hear (and see!) planes come in, but bring earplugs and you'll be fine. Just got back from our honeymoon!!! IGNORE ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!! This place is awesome! From watching the planes take off and land, to the resort staff, to the Maho Beach area, everything was grand. The pool is always empty, and the late night swims are great.
