I stayed here the last night of a wonderful 2 week adventure through the BVI. The taxi driver recommended it because of its proximity to the airport. Upon arrival I was greeted (for lack of a better word) by some of the rudest management I have ever experienced in all my travels. For $176 I received 2 beers and a... More

We go to Anegada every year, but it's getting more and more difficult finding affordable flights that arrive early enough to catch the ferry to Anegada on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. This year, we decided to do something just a little bit differently, and stay at the Beef Island Guest house after our flight arrived around 8:00pm. One of the... More

As owner/Manager of the Beef Island Guest House I can not help myself but to reply to the last review that appeared below. For everyone's information, upon hearing this complaint of "bedbugs" that appeared to be directed at their stay at our Guest House the first part of January, we immediately contacted the Health Department for their assessment of the... My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Beef Island guest house for 1 night on Jan. 3, 2012 after spending 8 days on our sailboat. By the time we left for the airport the next night at 7pm we were breaking out all over the place. At first we thought it was just a few "no see ums" even... More

I stayed here for the other night for similar reasons as others- proximity to airport. And its the only gig in the area. I am a charter captain and have stayed in many hotels in the Caribbean and especially in Tortola, mostly in Road Town. I read all the negative reports listed here. Most are telling the truth. Kim was... More

We have stayed at the Beef Island Guest House four different times as the last night of our vacation after a week of sailing. It is just what we need to get our land legs back and relax before having to come home. It's not a 5-star hotel, but I love it. It's casual, folks aren't hovering over you, and... More

We stayed at Beef Island Guest House on our final night in the BVI, between leaving our sailboat charter and catching a plane at 7:00 the next morning. We chose the BIGHouse because of its proximity to the airport: it's located basically right at the end of the runway. Not a problem as this is a small airport with small... More

I really don't want to waste too much time talking about this guest house - it is not worth it. However, I did want to share with others that the accommodations are nice, the location is very pretty, it is over priced for what is is and the Manager, Kim, seems like she would rather be anywhere else but greeting... I am very sorry that you did not find me to be a great hostess at the Beef Island Guest House. I guess it would do no good to try and have you change your mind by explaining to you that the day of your visit was one of the worst days of my job as manager. I do try... More

We sailed the British Virgin Islands for a week and needed a room close to the airport for our last night. The guesthouse has 4 bedrooms with thier own bathroom, a common living area, large kitche, and a screened porch in front. The common areas were full of interesting books and games. Our hostess-manager, Kim greeted us and our friends... More

The owner was very helpful, friendly and attentive, even though we were only passing though our last night in Tortola. We are very familiar with the marina and area, and decided to stay right on this little cute beach. They have a basic cute cafe and bar, and walking distance to many other local beach bars, cafes, shops, boats and... More
