My wife and I just returned from an "off season" trip to Tortola and stayed at Long Bay. We got an off season deal and found it to be well-worth the price. The rooms were generally pretty good. Tortola is an interesting,very hilly island. Long Bay was a disappointment. We stayed one week. The rooms are run down, in sore need to be refurbished. Cheap linen, bed spreads, holes in curtains, out-dated bathroom. Refrigerator was small, old and did not cool well. If we hadn't been with friends it would have been a long week. we stayed here before getting on our catamaran and this beach is amazing...but the rooms are VERY dirty, terrible a/c and very worn out. the food was very overpriced and not very goot at all. the service was ok but the people at the resort were fairly rude. they nickle and dime you like crazy over little things like internet... more

I had a lovely stay at Long Bay a few weeks ago and would probably come back. The property itself is lovely with its own beach and a great pool. Our room has a view of the ocean and a balcony which was very nice. We appreciated the fridge and cups and plates that allowed us to buy some cereal... more

This is not the place for children, pregnant women, elderly or handicapped. The resort is situated on a very steep hill. There are no stairs, only winding asphalt paths to get you to the lobby, pool, or single restaurant on the grounds. Rooms are not at all like the pictures advertised. I complained and got an upgrade but still nothing like the pictures. The food is ok but really over-priced. The waitresses are a joke. Try getting water or even your bill. Everyone there was complaining. The beach is beautiful especially if you walk west a few hundred yards. The most helpful... more

Best place in our recent 12 night, 4 hotel trip around the islands. Outstanding service! Welcome cocktail, cool towel on arrival, smiling staff wherever encountered. Beautiful beach, nice pool area, friendly pool bar staff. Store and gift shop on site. more
