My daughter and I stayed here for a week after spending a week on Tortola for my other daughter's wedding. We were surprised at how much less busy this island is and that the main street was just a few restaurants. We decided to getaway to Virgin Gorda from Tortola's never ending cruise ship nightmare. A couple days of absolute peace and quiet...that is what Fischer's Cove offers. We recently stayed at Fischer's Cove and had an absolutely wonderful one week vacation. Fischer's Cove had well kept grounds, a clean room, a decent beach, a nice restaurant (a sunset view to die for) and is owned by some of the nicest people you are ever going to meet. Three of us (single females) shared a cottage for a week which was very spacious and comfortable. The grounds are very well tended, yet natural to the surroundings...lots of lizards, friendly hens and chicks.A lovely clean beach with shallow waters to loll in just yards away, and virtually deserted. My husband and I stayed at Fischers Cove in Feb, 2007. Staff is wonderful. Lots of mosquitoes (common in the islands) and loud roosters. Water problem while we were there due to a severed water line. Fixed as soon as possible (island time). The resort is quaint, colorful, but not fancy. The location is very pretty. more
