I've been to Rum Point before during the day with my ex-girlfriend who lives in the island and it was a fun place during the day, great bar, plently of activities and a great gift shop. I am hesitant to write a review, because I would like to keep this place a secret. If you're looking for a lot of activity, this is not the place for you. It is a 45 minute ride to the airport and a 30 minute ride to the east side of the island. Definitely rent a car - and try... more

We had been to Grand Cayamn before in 2000 so chose it knowing it as a peaceful, tranquil place for a couples vacation...and we decided to get married there too. The "Sea Breeze" condo (as named by its owner, google: Carol Oksness) is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for that off-the-beaten-path, laid-back place to stay in Grand Cayman. We just returned from spending 4 nights at The Retreat at Rum Point. If you want to be in a quiet, secluded place away from 7 Mile Beach, this is the place. The Retreat at Rum Point is located in the most beautiful, tranquil area of Grand Cayman. We have stayed there on 33 visits and can't wait to go back in the spring. The condos were damaged from hurricane Ivan, but are being remodeled and will be even better than before. This place is truly paradise!! more
