Our trip to Grand Cayman started out with a speeding ticket for going 15mph over the limit and $125.00 fine. It seems most rental cars are white and have identifying tags which makes them targets by the police. Saw plenty of different color cars speeding but not getting stopped. Stayed at the Reef Resort and thought it was very nice.... more

The location of The Reef Resort is excellent. The beach is very nice with a lot of fine sand. There are many lounge chairs and shade. Your back patio is only steps from the beach...fantastic! They guys work hard every morning clearing away the seaweed that washes ashore. Snorkeling from the beach was good. We were so happy to have... more

The resort was clean and quite with beautiful views. Staff was friendly unlike some of the wait staff we encountered on the island. We had daily maid service which is unusual for many of our timeshare stays. Water shoes are a must to swim in the ocean. It's a 40 minute drive to 7 mile beach which is where the... more

This was my first time to the Cayman Islands in 12 years and my first time on the east side away from the hustle and bustle of Seven Mile Beach. If a few days at this place doesn't turn you off of the typical all inclusive type vacation I don't know what will. First off, you will need a rental... more

Lots of our American cousins have commented on the Reef and we thought it would be good to fly the British Flag for the resort! A couple of things you must accept (if you're British) - there are lots of Americans; it's pretty pricey to holiday here and outside the manicured beaches it can be pretty messy (cruise ship flotsam... more

This was our fourth trip to Grand Cayman and we have always stayed at Morritts. We started our vacation at Morritts but after one day of hearing owners compain about the status of resort we decided to take a tour of The Reef. The attitude of the staff was very uplifting after seeing and hearing what was going on at... more

We got married at The Reef on Oct 6th, and it was the best decision we made - Linda the wedding co-ordinator handled everything, the food, flowers etc were all perfect. Our stay at the hotel was also idyllic, we had a great suite on the beach, the staff were so friendly, food was great. and the beach was well... more

It was our first visit to Grand Cayman and we went to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday at the resort. The Reef Resort was a great choice, right on the beach with an ocean view. We rented a car and went exploring, which we highly recommend. Stingray City is a must, and the resort arranges transport there and back. The... more

My wife and I had never been to the Cayman Islands, and got a fantastic deal (through Conde Nast Traveler, if memory serves) on a beachfront studio here. My goodness, it was one of the best vacations in our 30+ years of marriage! The East End is so peaceful, far from the hustle of George Town, and the beach is... more
