After reading many of the reviews, I was slightly reluctant to book my vacation for my family at the GC Marriott. However, overall we were pleased with the hotel, and really enjoyed a very relaxing 8 days in Grand Cayman. I generally stay at Marriott hotels and I am a Silver Marguis Club member. I was almost scared off by... more

First, let me say I have always wanted to go to travel to Grand Cayman. Since I am a Marriott road warrior, I felt it made sense to stay with them. The property is smaller than other beachfront Marriotts resorts we have stayed, but it did not disappoint. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. The cleanliness of the property... more

We were a bit indecisive about the Marriott after reading the reviews. Also, contemplated a stay at Westin or Ritz. We made the right choice. The common areas of the hotel are beautiful, newly renovated, clean, and invititing. The hotel itself is not a huge resort. It is a large sqaure, five floors, overlooking the beach, a lush courtyard and... more

First let me start by saying I have Marriott Platinum Elite status. So far in 2008 I've spent 68 nights in Courtyards, Marriotts and JW Marriotts. I mention that only so you know that I have a lot of experience with Marriotts. I needed a vacation and had a bunch of Marriott and AA points so off to Grand Cayman... more

Marriot on seven mile was a beautiful hotel! I recomend requesting an ocean or garden view room, otherwise you are facing construction. This hotel is a half hour walk to George Town and close to many great restaurants. more

My husband and I stayed here for one week. We arrived at 2pm and were offered an upgrade right away because we are Marriott Gold members. Our room was ready and it was very nice and spacious (#348). The view was beautiful. We had breakfast in the room every day, there is a coffeemaker and good coffee, and we just... more

I actually loved the hotel and the beach, it was beautiful. The waitstaff are all nice and very helpful. My only disappointment was that my air conditioner in room 472 kept breaking in the middle of the night. I spent 4 nights with no air conditioner. They offered to let me move to another room but it was midnight and... more

This is a typical 4* USA brand, tired, over-used, non-customer friendly hotel. This hotel is a 4 sided 4 storey box with a central courtyard, so beware that only the outside wall of one of the 4 sides has a view of the ocean. Views are- The town..............the road! The Garden Left side.........next door construction sight! The Garden Right side......other... more

As much as I rely upon the reviews, I was determined to write one of my own upon my return from the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort (although it is about 9 months later). Despite the weather and a poorly-planned flight schedule (my bad), the Caymans were nice and we had a overall good experience. As to the hotel itself,... more

We absolutely loved this hotel. It is not without flaws, but we are willing to overlook those because of all the rest which are so good. Lets take the flaws first. 1. They tried to charge us 100 dollar more for the room, the only reason we overcame this was because I had our confirmation with us. 2. They forgot... more
