We travelled through trip advisor prior to our trip to the Grenadines for a hotel on Union. The only option listed was the BigSands - which was closed for a refurb. So instead we contacted a hotel listed in the Hunters guide. We arrived to find the hotel literally rotting away. The room did have aircon and clean sheets but... more

Stayed at the Clifton Hotel Union Island after having travelled blissfully through the Grenadines to this, our final destination. The Clifton was a huge disappointment. Despite being right over the ocean the rooms have no terrace. It was a depressing bare room, with a curtain instead of door to bathroom. Having previously spent time in Bequia and Mayreau we enjoyed Clifton on Union Island. The hotel is convenient to everything in town. The Family operating this property could not be more accomodating. The restaurant is great as well.We opted to spend a couple of nights in the guest apts. at Big Sand Beach.
