I recommend this hotel. The owner, Gus, is wonderful. We did not meet his wife, as she was out of town, but she is a native of the island. Gus is from St. Lucia. Our family stayed at the Ocean View Resort for two nights in the month of August for a family wedding held on the grounds. The brochure mailed out to us differs greatly from the actual rooms. This place is an excellent and affordable alternative for lodging in Charlestown Bay , the main port of Canouan. It is located right on the beach with a great view and adjacent to the Moorings with nightly rates half of the price of the other main alternative for charterers who must spend the night waiting to catch their early morning... more
