My wife, son and I stayed a week at the Carribbee. We booked two rooms. Our room was exceptionally nice with a spectacular view. Our son's was OK but it had no hot water...the whole week.
Getting to the Carribbee is an adventure. We rented a car and drove directly. The last couple of miles is an uphill trek laden with potholes. So going back and forth into town was a challenge.
My main issue with the Carribbee is its dining room. The room is nice, the service is generally ok. The food is not good (mostly scrawny chicken or fishy fish). The major problem with the dining room, however, is the price of the dinners. Each dinner, regardless of entree is $50 U.S. dollars. ..a giant rip-off.
Because good restaurants are far and few on the island, and because getting to them in the evening is difficult, I felt that the Carribbee thought they had us over a barrel. And, in fact, they did.
The Coopers who run the Inn are very nice, very pleasant. I doubt...
