We were shown to a musty ground floor room with nothing beyond a bed, some chipped old furniture and an air con unit. Bad bits first, tried to book online via their website but they did not answer so phoned. After reading some of the online reviews for the Maracas Bay Hotel, I started to regret reserving a room at the hotel as a one-night beach getaway prior to a business meeting in Port of Spain. I stayed there for Carnival 2006 and was disappointed. It was not worth the price. The room had a musty smell and was a bit run down and there was no television or refrigerator in it. For some reason we did not have restful sleep there. more

Wow what a hotel!! I can not believe that they are charging people to stay here. First off don't bother taking a shower here you will definitely need to be cleaned again since the bathtub pushes out other persons dirt from thier last shower ewww.
