Let me start by saying I am HHonors Diamond member. I have stayed at aprox 45 Hilton properties in 2007/08 for a total of 80+ nights. Hilton POS is going through an extensive renovation to keep pace with a new and luxurious Hyatt that just opened downtown. Hilton POS has been dated for a long time now. Demand a newly... more

Long Stay Hilton Honor Guests should be warned that once a guest reaches 100,000 points for a stay then they MUST check out for at least 24 hours in order to continue to earn points. I stayed at this 2nd or maybe 3rd rate hotel from March until June( not through choice) and did reach the100,000 points. I now know... more

Stayed at the Hilton during carnival. Stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, (poor workmanship), the room itself was decent, but I know i could have done better finishing work in the rooms. The hallways were moldy smelling, carpeting very very worn and dirty. The lobby furniture was old, worn and the carpeting in the lobby wasn't much better.... more

This is at the bottom of the Hilton range, it's very similar though a little worst that the Hilton in Jamaica. However, there are two sides to this hotel the old side with its nasty, uncomfortable rooms and beds like old fashioned hospital beds and the side they have done up which is supposed to be much better. Alas I... more

The thing with a Hilton hotel is, in much the same way as a Big Mac, it doesn't matter where you are in the world, you know what you are going to get. Where a Hilton differs from a Big Mac is that you normally know you are going to get a pretty reasonable, if sterile, room and service. Except... more

I had to stay two times at the Trinidad Hilton, up to now. The first time was for one week, since I had to search for a house in Trinidad and my employer booked me there. It was not too bad, for just one week. Although it was strongly recommended to me, not to leave the Hotel by walking (which... more

I was quite anxious about staying at this hotel after reading some of the terrible reviews. I chose it because it was on a free bus route for our meeting, allowing me to avoid daily taxi fares, and because I received an exceptionally good rate (due to an arrangement with my employer). Following the advice of one previous reviewer, I... more

This hotel is all about location, which is great - right next to the Savannah, where all of the Carnival activities take place. But there are several things you need to be aware off: - During your reservation you will see that some rooms are 30% cheaper than the rest - those are the old not renovated rooms, they look... more

I stayed here for a total of four nights, two nights each, coming and going to Suriname. In December 2007. I had a different room each time. And, both rooms were new, modern, clean, comfortable, and fuctional. The bathrooms were not large, or, were they small, just right, and everything worked. I had a balcony in each room, over looking... more

Without a doubt, this is the worst hotel I've stayed in - ever. I'm currently working on a long-term contract in South America. My boyfriend came from the US to meet me in Trinidad for what should have been a relaxing and romantic weekend. This was totally ruined by our unfortunate decision to stay at the Hilton. We intentionally chose... more
