Overall the location is not good for anyone who doesn't like to hire a car and make an effort to go about. The lack of a restaurant within walking distance can be a pain if you are tired and don't want to go out again that evening, although the kitchen facilities are fine for making up your own food and... more

A superb base from which to tour the south of Tobago, and just a few minutes by car from our favourite snorkelling beach at Mount Irvine. The rooms are not new but are beautifully maintained and kept spotlessly clean. The staff however are what made our stay particularly enjoyable, probably as nice a group of people as I've ever stayed... more

We spent just two days at the Sherwood Park - hidden off Sherwood Park Terrace in Carnbee, Tobago - in January 2004. With a rented car, the location is quite good for visiting various spots on the island - at least beaches in the Crown Point, Buccoo and Scarborough areas. Nice grounds and terrific pool. When we showed up at the hotel, we couldn't believe the location, in the middle of a run down village with no beach or anything close by. Front office staff seemed uninterested to say the least, very dissappointed by what they presented on their site. more

A fantastic place to stay. Sheer tranquility. Not for everyone but we loved the seclusion of these apartments. They have everything you need and the staff are very willing and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Car hire or bicycle hire would be helpful to get around although the apartments use regular taxi drivers who charge a set fee... more

We loved our stay at Sherwood Park. The apartments, pool and garden are lovely. Though not far from beautiful beaches, it is away from the main tourist areas, so we met local people, including the wonderful staff, and guests of several nationalities. If you're looking for peace and quiet,this is the place.The only sounds you hear are the birds.The large garden is visited by a multitude of birdlife.The staff make you feel like family.Small charge to take you to Pigeon Point(10mins drive)also cycle hire is recommended.Nearest shop 15min walk. more
