We stayed at Turtle beach by Rex resorts in October 2009. We arrived at the hotel at 1500 and although check in was at 1400 out room wasnt ready until nearly 1600. stayed at this hotel many years ago as a child was fantastic. Reality: our room was filled with mosquitos and inadequate air conditioning moved after 1st night. Television=2 channels one in spanish and bbc news. pool opens 10amish and closes at 6pm. so no early morning or evening swims. restaurant food poor and no service. asked for wine list never... more

On arrival at the hotel it appeared a bit dark and old fashioned but after a welcome rum punch and a friendly assistant manager we realised that it had so much more to offer.The rooms are a bit gloomy with dark ceilings and woodwork but who stays in their room!Sit on the balcony and watch the birds and the bats.... more
