We took a family vacation to Turks & Caicos in April, 2007. It was a bittersweet trip due to the fact that my husband and I along with another couple had been there just a year before and he passed away just a little over a month short of the trip. However, we all decided the vacation was exactly what we all needed and it was what he would have wanted us to do. We stayed at a lovely villa called Crystal Sands which is one of just a couple beachfront homes on Sapodilla Bay and I do mean beachfront...you are literally steps from the soft white sand. More often than not we had the entire beach to ourselves and this was over Easter weekend! The beach is shallow for a very long distance with waves that are nothing more than a ripple....perfect for children and just pulling one of their lounges into the water and soaking up the sun and, of course, watching the sunsets.
