There are pluses and minuses to Bluebeard's. 1) Getting to the resort/cabs vs. a rental car. - When you arrive at the airport, there are tons of cabs. I have stayed here since 1999 every May. I always rent a car and would not consider taking cabs..It's really not that hard to drive on the other side of the road and you'll see the whole island and you can take your car to St. John for the day and see the whole island over there..St. John is wonderful... more

I read all the negative reviews prior to going....and we were really, really surprised. I loved our little loft room with the bed upstairs and the quaint kitchen tucked in the hall. The resort was just average, We tried to upgrade to a bigger room..was told not available..but yet there was hardly anyone there! No gift shop or pool available no staff to work at those places.
