We arrived in St. Thomas without a hotel reservation - we'd hopped on a plane from NYC and thought we'd deal with it when we arrived. I'd grabbed a couple guide books on our way out of town. We decided Villa Santana was our first choice in town as it was featured in Frommers as a place to stay. When... More

We stayed at Villa Santana on the first night of our honeymoon, on our way to the British Virgin Islands. It was nice enough, but it wasn't incredibly clean and was more geared towards business travelers and solo travelers than couples. We stayed in La Torre, which was a really cool looking room, but the skinny, spiral staircase got old... More

I've stayed at Villa Santana twice and love it. It has a sweeping view overlooking Charlotte Amalie city, the beautiful harbor, Hassle & Water Islands. I stayed in La Torre which is best for singles. Its not the most quiet spot (roosters crowing all night), but it is unmatched in perspective. You can see cruise ships coming and going and... More

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our lovely efficiency overlooking the beautiful harbor. Villa Santana is in a great location just a short walk to good food and shopping. The owners were especially helpful and friendly. We will surely return.

Our October 2009 stay in Villa Santana was very enjoyable. Jeff gave us clear "island directions" to get to the Villa and offered restaurant and grocery store recommendations. Shannon let us in on "island/cruise ship time" and how to beat the crowds-or join them! Paintings by former owner Luisa hang in each room, giving the place a personal, local touch.... More

We spent 3 nights at Villa Santana. We absolutely loved this charming, quaint and historic place. The views over the town and harbour were great and we could view the daily activities of the town from this great vantage point. The family were extremely attentive, welcoming and could not do enough to help us with information about the history of... More

Villa Santana looks like it could have been very nice at one time if it had been kept up. It seems that the website does not include one small important detail..... There is no air conditioning in these units. It is terribly hot, especially after spending a day at the beach and even the fans don't cool it off. However,... More

For a romatic getway, and a real home away from home, this is hard to beat. It's a a completely charming place with just seven separate "cottages" (so make your reservations EARLY!) cleverly created from the remaining outbuildings after the 19th century villa burned some years ago. We stayed in the "Concina," once the central kitchen for the entire estate.... More
