My husband and I stayed at Charlie's eco-cottage during our visit to St. JOhn over Christmas last year. We had a very unique experience, very, very well worth the inexpensive nightly rate. The eco-cottage is almost like a tree-house, situated in the middle of a dense and lush tropical garden/field. Its like an efficieny apartment in a luxury tent, complete with a little kitchentte, bed, sofas, a deck and a primitive shower/toilet outside. We went to sleep every night one with nature, with only the sound of raindrops, breeze, birds and inse\cts for company. It was a refreshing change from the usual hotel rooms and gave us a chance to experiance St. John in all its quiet wonder and beauty. This place is not one of the commerical eco-tent camps that you have on St. John, but rather an out-of-the-way place.
