My bf and I would never be able to afford the $199 listing price for this hotel, but I placed a bid for $85 and we won! $85 is the same price for the crappy 1-2 star hotels in Nassau! If I had the money, we'd most likely stay here again, it was quite an experience. Location is perfect, right... More

Rather than spend a bunch of money on Carnival excursions, I opted to take my family to the British Colonial Hilton for a relaxing day at the beach. The cost was less than most of the beach excursions offered by Carnival and my family LOVED it. The property was luxurious and elegant and the staff outstanding. Especially Geniece, the manager... Nice hotel. Great location tight by te downtown stores and where the cruise ships dock. About a 5-7 min drive to atlantis. Small private beach and pool. This is a business hotel not a resort so pick accordingly. But nice comfy room except i was dissapointed with the city view. 10 dollars a day to valet park which was fine... More

My husband and I are here escaping the cold midwestern winter, and have really enjoyed our stay here at the British Colonial Hilton. We would highly recommend the small additional charge for the Executive Floor that serves breakfast, tea and evening cocktails. We've met so many wonderful people from around the world over a glass of wine! Donna and the... More

Even thoughq the hotel is overpriced, that's par for the course in the Caribbean islands I believe. The shocking thing was seeing 3 gunshot holes to the left of the main entrance"..maybe 15 feet up. There is rampant crime on the island as the economy is getting hammered, so if u do go to nassau...be extremely cautious as u do... More

We have been repeat visitors to Nassau Bahamas from Edinburgh Scotland since 2007 and always stay at the British Colonial Hilton, during which time we have seen the hotel develop and upgrade to what it is today. We stayed for 7 nights vacation from 27th January on an 'Executive' package and found the service perfect for our needs. True you... More

Teeny tiny rooms (bathroom door would not open the entire way as it hit the toilet) our view was the McDonald's across the street. The cost of the room and the food was ridiculous, we had the option of going to the executive lounge or some such silliness, but somehow the lady at the desk up there didn't have our... More

I recently stayed at the hotel for five days. I travel frequently to Bahamas and find this property to be one of the most elegant hotels in Nassau. It caters to the business travel, so its focuses on service and having find amenities in the room, like Peter Thomas Roth personal care sundries, Cuisineart coffee maker, robe, refrigerator, HD tv,... Traveled the weekend of 1/27, me and 5 girlfriends to the Bahamas and we stayed at the Colonial Hilton because of and despite of the reviews on TripAdvisor. I have no complaints at all about my room. In fact I think they upgraded the birthday girl to an ocean view as i had a city view booked. My friends had... More

We stayed here for one night before heading further to Eleuthera. The hotel definitely needs a renovation in the near future. It is too expensive compared to what you get. The room was okay, nothing special. Cleanliness is okay but could be better. We would search for a nicer one when staying in nassau again. More
