On arriving, staff were friendly on the front desk. They issued passes for Atlantis Hotel, beaches, and park. This is a massive bonus, so listen carefully to the instructions on how to get there and what to do - we didn't, but it was no problem to ask again. You get your passes. We had two small yellow cards. Go into Atlantis over the road, walk past shops, straight through the casino, and then show the passes to a couple of security staff who will point you to the stairs. Go down to a desk ( probably will be a queue) and wait to be issued a plastic bracelet after asking for ID (we took passports). You need the ID to get in the park. While waiting, you will see the fantastic Aquarium to the right, which is a taster of things to come. On entering the place, it has marvellous gardens, sweeping palm trees, and golden beaches with loads of pools. Great for kids. A waterslide, rapids, and loads of places to eat. We spent time on all the beaches - fantastic. Look in the water areas full of giant turtles, sharks, swordfish manterays absolutely incredible! The food is expensive with added tax and tips (25%), generally burgers, fries, etc. The Comfort Suites is very comfortable. Lovely big bed, clean rooms, and the aircon was a little noisy, but we came here in March, so we used the overhead fan and opened the doors, which was fine. The staff are pleasant and always gave a smile and nice comment. (Caffie, who did our room, was brilliant) The breakfast has great eggs, melon, waffles, and sometimes bacon, sausages, and grits. The coffee is great - strong. My wife wasn't feeling well on the last day, and the hotel gave us another couple of hours before we checked out.
