Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pros: The pool area, outside landscaping and look of the hotel, free hot breakfast with good options, and proximity to Atlantis and restaurants. Cons: Small beds (double), smelly rooms that made clothes smell, smelly water, old furniture. The rooms are in desperate need of updating, but the hotel has a lot of potential. I would love to return once the rooms are renovated.

Hotel's Favourite
We had a fantastic experience staying at the Comfort Suites. Initially, we were planning to stay at the Atlantis for 3 nights with our family. My husband and I had stayed at the Atlantis about a decade ago and always wanted to take our kids (boys ages 17,19,22,24,26) back. We mainly wanted them to experience the water park and the beach. We chose the Comfort Suites this time because I loved the idea of the private pool that stays open much later, the free breakfast to get our day started, and how close it is to the Atlantis resort without having to stay there amongst the crowds. It turned out just as I had hoped. We were able to get 3 rooms for less than the price of 2 at the Atlantis. This is important for our boys so that they can each have their own beds. We did not end up using the pool, but it was nice to know that if we wanted to, we could. We ate at Crusoe's one night and the food was similar to what you would get a an average chain restaurant like Chili's or TGI Fridays. If we went back to the Bahamas, we would stay there again or maybe try a different resort. I don't feel like we missed out on anything by not staying at Atlantis. It is important to know that you do have to go to the desk to get wristbands each day to be able to use the Atlantis amenities. We never got there before 1pm so there was never a line for us.

This was our second stay at Comfort Suites. Our room was located on the 3rd floor and was clean and large. There is a fridge in the room and a microwave located just down from the lobby which is convenient for reheating some of the large meals we got in the area. The grounds of this hotel are beautiful with a pool, on-site restaurant, and bar. Breakfast was included with the stay and there was always something to help start our day off. We enjoyed the Rum Punch party on the Friday and were given two adult drink vouchers along with a $50 off coupon for the on-site restaurant and the meal was delicious. The staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. We came for the access to Atlantis and had zero problems entering both days that we went. You are given cards upon check in and these are presented at the adventures desk in the royal tower for your daily wristbands. We had to present these to get into the royal tower so make sure you have them on hand once you make your way through the casino. We never waited more then 5/10 minutes and had access all day long. Atlantis is just out the back of this hotel and up it’s driveway l, 5 minute walk at most. We entered the first day at 2pm and the second day went in as two separate groups as we had two cards. Two went in at 10:30 and the other two entered at 11am. This little gem is an unbelievable deal. We will definitely skip right to this hotel for our next visit to Nassau. Thank you to the staff for the wonderful stay!

Since everything is expensive in the Bahamas and restaurants add 15% gratitude mandatory, to me this hotel is worth it. You get free breakfast and an Atlantis pass. The hotel itself is not wow but don't forget you get what you pay for. To me everything was reasonable. Gizelle the lady at the front desk is amazing. She helped us to change our room. Also, she ordered our room decorated for my son's birthday despite being so busy due to spring break and our last-minute notification. She is so kind, welcoming and helpful.

The good: Great location with Atlantis access. In walking distance to restaurants and the shops/mini mall. The folks that worked there were very helpful and nice. The not great: Almost $500 extra in taxes that we were not informed about prior to checking in. Booking.com gave us $999 total for 4 nights, and then the hotel tacked on fees out the wazoo. After those fees hit it made it not worth it to stay there. Stay on 3rd floor otherwise it is loud. The rooms need work. An upgrade is definitely needed. Our ac looked like it hadn't been cleaned out in months, the sliding door to the patio didn't work, the closet door was off the hinge, and the bathroom exhaust fan didn't work.

On arriving, staff were friendly on the front desk. They issued passes for Atlantis Hotel, beaches, and park. This is a massive bonus, so listen carefully to the instructions on how to get there and what to do - we didn't, but it was no problem to ask again. You get your passes. We had two small yellow cards. Go into Atlantis over the road, walk past shops, straight through the casino, and then show the passes to a couple of security staff who will point you to the stairs. Go down to a desk ( probably will be a queue) and wait to be issued a plastic bracelet after asking for ID (we took passports). You need the ID to get in the park. While waiting, you will see the fantastic Aquarium to the right, which is a taster of things to come. On entering the place, it has marvellous gardens, sweeping palm trees, and golden beaches with loads of pools. Great for kids. A waterslide, rapids, and loads of places to eat. We spent time on all the beaches - fantastic. Look in the water areas full of giant turtles, sharks, swordfish manterays absolutely incredible! The food is expensive with added tax and tips (25%), generally burgers, fries, etc. The Comfort Suites is very comfortable. Lovely big bed, clean rooms, and the aircon was a little noisy, but we came here in March, so we used the overhead fan and opened the doors, which was fine. The staff are pleasant and always gave a smile and nice comment. (Caffie, who did our room, was brilliant) The breakfast has great eggs, melon, waffles, and sometimes bacon, sausages, and grits. The coffee is great - strong. My wife wasn't feeling well on the last day, and the hotel gave us another couple of hours before we checked out. Overall, it was a lovely break at The Comfort Suites, Paradise Island.

This hotel is one of the most disappointing places I have stayed. 1. First room had brown stained toilet bowl and the phone was not working 2. Second room we had to walk up and down twice as the access cards they forgot to activate 3. Corridors are musty smelling with very date and old carpets 4. The sofa's in the rooms smell awful 5. There are extra taxes once you arrive up to an additional $60 per person per night. The prices you pay do not include these 6. Breakfast is very limited to eggs, sausage, cereal and bread 7. Customer service needs some work 8. Not suitable for a relaxing family vacation for the price. 9. I am disturbed by the cleanliness

This will be our last trip to this property after 27 years. It's time for the place to be demolished and rebuilt. After many visits since it was built, the time has come to say farewell. The air conditioner in our original room was like a hurricane noise of 80 mph and noise. Couldn't sleep (whole family). Also water came down from unit above in bathroom ( not properties fault just idiots above). The sliding glass door had no locks that worked on it. Just a bar to hold the door from sliding open. However someone could slide the door from the outside and it would open 8 inches, with no issue. Not the best noise you would want at 2am for security. They moved us to another room. We then had ant infestation, a cockroach, and no water coming into our toilet. The valve was on. They had to replace the inside mechanism (float was worn out). Water didn't work at the bar sink. My daughters room the air conditioner didn't go below 78 degrees. After adding freon and replacing the unit, it still didn't work. They also had to move rooms. The food was ok at the breakfast which is included. We ate at the inside back room. The OJ machine was heavily watered down and was terrible. One morning the scrambled eggs were green tinted, waited for next fresh tray. I will say that customer service was great from the staff. They were friendly and were always polite and tentative during our debacle. That was the only great thing I can say. Shout outs to Kenron, Gizette. The housekeepers were always polite and saying good morning. This property has much potential due to location next to Atlantis. It's outdated and needs modern feel. It's normally booked to capacity and I feel an 8-10 story modern complex will do great. You have the RIU next door that newer and modern but has it's issues as well.

Close to water park which is basically across street. When I arrived in room, found a used soap and a broken piece of glass in hallway - so not sure about cleanliness. Water pressure was poor. Service at front desk was very poor. Lots of angry people in lobby. Some staff were great and others not. If you are disabled, no accomodations made… however they do have wheelchair we found out last day. No room service. Restaurant across street, Anthony’s has much better prices for food and drinks.
