Just got back from a trip to Freeport. Stayed at the Western Castaways. Staff very friendly and helpful. Off the beach, but a free shuttlebus will take you there. Quick taxi service to Port Lucaya. Would stay there again. more

The Castaways was a rather plain hotel, with some plusses and minuses: on the plus side, the place was very clean, and the staff was attentive. You always saw the manager and/or security walking around. When they say they don't want you to hang stuff (like wet clothing) from the balconies or railings, they mean it. I hung some clothes... more
