We "won" the trip with Security Travel, as well. Raul called and talked my wife into switching to the Redwood from the Bell Channel. He said the location was better. That is the only good thing. We should have stayed with the Bell Channel to start with. After one night at the Redwood we called Raul and told him to... more

We had a blast at the bell channel, and highly recommend it for a good diving experience. The staff are all so friendly, and you'll get to know them all during your stay. The typical day for us: wake up, breakfast in the cafe (cheap 4-5$), hang out by the pool, go diving, return and head to happy hour (3.50... more

It was so peaceful, great customer service! Quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed the food and the staff were always upbeat and ready to help. You truly felt protected and cared for. I can't wait to return. ~ Rita Adams more

First I’d like to say hello to the wonderful staff at Bell Chanel… My husband and I like to travel, especially the Islands. So this time we decided on Bahamas (Grand Island). We came across a good deal via Bahamas.com hotel only because we had already booked a cruise shuttle through Discovery cruise lines (don’t waste your time). When we... more

First let me say we are not totally disappointed with our stay. The Bell Channel had all the necessities for a short little get away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very large and had adequate space. The room was very clean. We live in Miami and we were just getting away for a long weekend... more

This is one of the best-kept secrets in the Bahamas! We just spent our 2nd New Year's at the Bell Channel Inn & had a wonderful holiday. We liked the excellent service , the value and the great location. We really enjoyed walking over to the Port Lucaya Market each night, just before sunset (we did take a cab back... more

If you're looking for value for money, the Bell Channel Inn is it! Walking distance to Port Lucaya shops and restaurants and the beach. Staff were unbelievably friendly, very helpful. The room and bathroom were clean, kitted out with a fridge and we had an offer of a coffee maker should we need one. Awesome view from our room, morning... more

I thank all of you for your reviews. I was very thankful that I listened to you all instead of my travel agent, Raul, from Security Travel. He did everything in his power to get me to upgrade to a more expensive hotel, going so far as to call the Bell Channel Inn a "fleabag hotel" and telling me that... more

The staff is very friendly, they give a briefing when you first arrive to acquaint you with the hotel and the Port Lucaya area. It is about a 15 minute walk to Port Lucaya Marketplace, or you can take the "bus" (really just a van) for only $1 per person. It's not an upscale hotel, but you're not paying for... more

Can walk over to Port Lucaya shops within 10 - 15 minutes, go to the ATM at the Sheraton which gives American dollars without any service fee. Or for $1 can take the taxi-bus - if not past 7:45 PM. The restaurant is small but very cozy with good view and food. The room was smaller than pictured but was... more
