Rooms were somewhat spartan but clean, friendly staff, exterior somewhat weather beaten and the dock area has had some repairs with some sections still in poor repair. "Hanks Place" across the creek for food and drink is excellent, ate at hotel for breakfeast only which was also prettty good. Overall, for the money, a value. more

We flew in from Lauderdale on a private plane. Their customs threw away every foodstuff that was not canned. The taxi to the marina was reckless and unsafe. I found the Lighthouse Marina to be amply managed and equiped. Most of all, my neighbor in the marina, Simon Bain (sportfishing guide), was terrific. He even loaned me $40 when the ATM didn't work, plus he transported me around the island and provided several useful tips on where to eat, etc. Speaking of that, Hank's, over on the Andros... more
