With all my traveling in the Bahamas, I found Sampson Cay Club to be one of the cleanest, well maintained and friendly places in all the islands. Sampson Cay is lovely and we intend on returning. For the past two summers we've made their marina home for our yacht. The surrounding islands offer a great deal of cruising for a dinghy. Sampson Cay has the most enviable location in the Exumas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The resort was immaculate and well kept. The owner has spent alot of money and time in designing this resort. It is barefoot elegance at its best. You must rent a boat, if you haven't come by one. We spent 10 days at the Sampson Cay Club from 22nd February to 2nd March. Getting there is an adventure (you have to hire a plane at Nassua- but dont worry that is normal in these parts and is inexpensive ($360 for two return). You fly to Staniel Cay and then the Club send a boat to pick you up.... more
