In August, Club Med was running specials that were too good to pass up, and even included airfare from Ft. Lauderdale. Club Med San Salvador was colorful and pretty, with scattered buildings only 2 stories high. We spent two weeks at Club Med Columbus Isle in Bahamas from July 3 to 17, 2009. Hotel The transfer from the airport took 5 minutes since the Club is very close. This was our first ClubMed trip. The location of Columbus isle is beautiful, making it a strong attribute to ClubMed company., which purchased the land from the Army base for pennies. I as well as my large group have been to club meds many times, columbus isle never again..Wow food horrible except for two cheifs at the Anex named kiel and Don, fabulous!! Tther than them the food mind as well be garbage scraps... Every one got sick even "GOs" got food poisioning... Disgusting food put great place to loose weight.... more

We loved this resort. Beautiful beaches, fantastic reefs, excellent food and fantastic views of the ocean made this one of our best trips ever. There were plenty of water sports with good teaching support (when needed) from the GOs. Although not deemed a 'family' resort, this is a great place for teenagers.
