My husband and I stayed at SCYC for 4 nights in June '08 and we loved it. We did the all-inclusive plan which included the food, non-alcoholic drinks, a 13 ft boston whaler with fuel, bikes and snorkeling gear. GETTING THERE: We flew Watermakers Air from the Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport. Taking this shared charter service is definitely worth the... more

This vacation could not have been better. Everything was perfect. We flew from Ft. Lauderdale via Watermaker's Air. We arrived at Staniel at around 9:15 am. We were met at the airport by SCYC staff. We took the five minute golf cart ride to the yacht club. We were able to get into our room around 11. We stayed in... more

My fiance found this place while "surfing the web" for our honeymoon destination. I was a little concerned but we could not have had a more wonderful honeymoon. (We are 29 & 32 from a very small southern town - country folk some would say) We had the inclusive package. The food was excellent! The french toast was so good... more

My husband and I stayed six nights at the SCYC after having spent 6 nights at Emerald Palms, South Andros (see my review for EP). After having the rather luxurous accomodation on Andros the cottages at SCYC are rather plain but cute, we had the lavendar cottage. We came with waternmakers air from Congo Town, Andros and already the approach... more

Price is fairly low, but you get what you pay for. Our cottage was a serious accident waiting to happen: 1. in the bathroom, there was a 10" step up to the toilet, sink and shower - murder on a midnight trip to the loo, 2. they had throw rugs on the tile floor that didn't have a rubber backing,... more

Without reserve, one of the best times I've had on holiday. Went with the package plan and cannot beat the deal for whats included. The food is very good. But wait staff slightly lacking. If you remember you're on "island time", you may only long for a few more smiles from restaurant service. Otherwise, service from housekeeping, bar staff and... more

My husband and I just returned from Staniel after a week's stay. I can't say enough about the clear waters, great snorkeling, friendly staff (esp. Rhonda!) and commaradarie we found at Staniel Cay. Been all over the Carribean and this place has the most beautiful waters and gorgeous beaches! There are deserted beaches everywhere you look. Did miss the television a... more

First off, if you are looking for a posh Bahamas island with lots of planted palm trees, abundant shopping and an active nightlife scene, then Staniel Cay is not for you. Go to Nassau or Georgetown. The village surrounding Staniel Cay Yacht Club is real, not touristy glam, and thus is not the most picturesque. And the markets do not... more

We spent four nights at SCYC just afer New Year's in one of the tower cottages on the inclusive plan. After waiting 5 hours for our Air Flamingo flight to leave Nassau, finally getting to Staniel Cay was like arriving in paradise. The island is beautiful and the town and local people were charming. The main point of contact is... more
