Location beautiful, hotel is very nicely presented. Some great touches such as a tea pot on the hot drinks tray. ( I for one abhor making tea in a mug) and proper milk in a flask. Rooms are clean and comfortable but not outstanding. I would expect this level of comfort in a friends house or a good B and... More

One night stay. Great service, friendly staff, comfortable room, and the food is good restaurant standard - all sources named and imaginative menu. The location is super and you definitely need to bring your walking boots (which can be left to dry in reception). Oh and BTW, the wine list is great with good reasonably priced wines but opportunities to... More

Stumbled across this excellent pub on our recent visit to Monmouthshire. Picturesque setting , stylish interior only hindered by a limited menu and not suitable for children. The waitress couldn't do enough for us with her pleasant and helpful manner ironically the opposite of the bar manager who was obviously in the wrong profession as dealing with customers was not... We had a lovely one night stay here. Staff were very welcoming on our arrival and showed us to our well-presented, clean, four poster bedded room. Staff were again attentive for our evening meal, which was good but on the pricey side. Breakfast was superb; have the full Welsh breakfast! The Bell is a lovely hotel in a lovely location... More

The Bell is a really friendly pub with good rooms, great service and delicious food. The walks are lovely from the pub, ideal for walking off the calories! We spent a lovely weekend (the weather was good and it didnt rain) and will most certainly go back. Our only disappointment was the lack of specials available for our meal on... More

Myself and my partner went to The Bell for lunch and had a very lovely time. We wanted to eat somewhere that would allow us to go for a walk afterwards so thoroughly enjoyed walking off the delicious food via the "Knight's Templar Trail" (although we did get rather too much interest from a herd of cows!). The Bell offers... More

We've visited the Bell many times and are never disapointed..a real favourite of ours in a wonderful picturesque setting. You know you are visiting somewhere special as you drive along the lane into the lovely little village. As you sit in the cosy bar by the log fire and peruse the menu you know you are in for a treat... More

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights at The Bell Hotel we indulged ourselves with afternoon tea, as we were kindly given a smart box voucher. The service was excellent. I would like to thank Janinne the hostess in the hotel, she was very pleasant and organised our tea with quick service. The tea consisted of homemade scones, cakes... More

A beautiful location with lovely walks (information willingly given at reception). The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, spotless and quiet. The food is wonderful and beautifully presented and the cellar is stunning. The staff are helpful and cheerful and the kitchen garden a delight. Really relaxing and spoiling. Lovely.

Our experience was only positive from start to finish. When we originally tried to book using our Living Social voucher it was full, not only was the lady helpful by she kindly found us a date that would give us the best room possible, a great start. Our welcome was warm and friendly, the short tour and intro to our... More
