I was staying on a budget, so opted for the bunkhouse, £10 a night which is an absolute bargain. It's basic, but clean, has its own en suite. Just take your own sleeping bag and your sorted. Very quiet place. Very secure bike storage. Brilliant breakfast for less than £7 too. Oh and a real good little bar and very... More

Stayed here for 1 night in May. We were going to a wedding a couple of miles away and the owner, Adam, very kindly gave us a lift in his car rather than ordering a taxi, which we were very grateful for! Great location, very clean room and ensuite, a lovely rustic bar area for a couple of drinks and... More

Have stayed at Elens Castle several times before and it was as good this time (May 2013) as before. The building is c300 years old which gives the place character. The owners, Adam and Helen, are extremely friendly and helpful, and the restaurant food is excellent. This is an ideal base for touring, walking, golfing etc. Dolwydellan is on the... More

Very welcoming & friendly. Hotel and rooms are clean and tidy. The food is stunning, great value, plentiful, wholesome home cooking which is great after a day in the mountains. Would visit again for a holiday base in snowdonia national park and would recommend it to my friends.

Wales is wonderful for motorcycling (or cycling) and this is an excellent base. Perfect location to explore this area with wonderful roads and plenty of attractions to explore. The variety of room options including family room and bunkhouse means that there is accommodation to suit everyone. The food was great and Adam and Helen were both very friendly and helpful.... More

Quite dated decor and shabby chic would be a generous description, but the sheets are clean and the rooms very quiet.... Foods good, lager cold, owners were a case of Ying and Yang, one great and the not so much.. Would stay again but realistic expectations required....

This was a pleasant long weekend break at Elen's castle hotel. The owner couldn't of been more helpful, food was delish and the hotel had a really nice feel to it. As for location there was plenty to do around there or if you dont plan on doing much the views are to die for. Would definately go back!

Feels a bit rundown and not exactly smart place but food is okay. Owners weren't extremely friendly but still eager to help. Room was small and cold but clean however bad was very uncomfortable! Back pain for 2 weeks afterwards!

The room was clean and well turned out, the food is fantastic and large enough without over facing you. The owners are a very friendly couple and can't do enough to make your stay pleasurable. "This is one on my I Will Return List" Phil From Oldham
