Lovely little hotel, quaint and lots of character, perfect for quiet getaway. Photos a bit misleading of four poster room - very small and no drapes etc only posts from bed! However rooms very clean and comfortable and staff very accommodating with our requests -good service from the time we arrived. Despite the hotel being very quiet, a varied, full... more

Having driven past the hotel for years, it was a pleasure to stay at the hotel and to experience its warm, relaxed welcome, good food and a cozy lounge to enjoy on a crisp autumn's evening. The twin room at the back of the hotel was clean and comfortable, if a little small; the en-suite bathroom was fine except a... more

Tricky one this, so let me set the scene. We're spending a few days travelling up through Scotland on our way to Orkney, staying mainly in B&Bs. Mrs Satsu found this hotel online and we decided to splash out on the four-poster room to have something a bit special on our trip. First impressions were mixed - from the outside... more

Spent 3 days at the hotel on an 'Autumn Break Special' which immediately wrong footed the manager/ staff as they seemed unsure of what this was despite being available on their own website. Not a great welcome, perfunctory form filling without any attempt of conversation. Dinner (2 nights i'm afraid !!) dreadfully disappointing as it states it has a reputation... more

I proposed to my wife there on a romantic weekend and the staff could not have been more helpful. They gave me an excellent... more

Had an unexpected stay at this great hotel thanks to the suggestion from someone at the visitor centre in Nairn I believe. We had phoned 15 minutes before arrival to see if they had availability, especially since we were travelling with a 9 month old and by the time we arrived they had already set up the room with a... more

A warm welcome awaits you from the owners of this homely country hotel. Room overlooked main road but was otherwise excellent. Pleasant dining experience with beautifully cooked food from imaginative menus. Ideal location for outdoor activities on Royal Deeside. more
