Fantastic gardens. House a bit old fashioned with creakey floor boards, no rugs or carpet to cushion the noise, no curtains just window shutters. Bathroom adequate, no shower just a telephone shower in the bath. Carpet through out the room no shower curtain etc.

Weather fantastic, food available down the road at the Ghigha Hotel.

Friendly place . Large wide screen tv available in a lounge but no tv in bedrooms. more

We came here for spring break which is an amazing time to be on the island of Gigha and in the stunning gardens at Achamore. My 2 daughters spent hours playing hide and seek among the camelias and rhodendron bushes. In the evenings we watched movies from Don's vast collection. The beaches at Gigha are incredibly beautiful. We spent many happy mornings in the sun looking for shells, seals and birds. more
