Just been to The Coylet for dinner, what a lovely welcoming place to enjoy a friday night. Lovely welcoming and cheerful staff from the minute you walk in to the bar till the minute you leave, the food was delicious and very well presented, I could have eaten the chicken wrapped in bacon with the peppercorn sauce all night, the... Stayed at Coylet Inn for a second time over the late May Bank Holiday. Had a lovely relaxing time, the atmosphere is always friendly and this is a place where you have no choice but to relax. Coylet Inn isn't about it being a posh hotel but is about friendly relaxed down-to-earth service in a super environment with a nice... More

Stayed at the Coylet Inn for several nights. Warm and friendly place overlooking Lock Eck. Bedroom small but very clean with a comfy bed. Owners were very welcoming and bar staff equally so. A reasonable menu but food could do with being hotter, maybe worth considering a smaller menu so food can be freshly cooked. Overall a good place to... More

We have just returned from a 5 day stay at the Coylet and we have had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Craig and Pip are pleasant friendly hosts and are concerned that guests feel welcome - needless to say, the views are stunning and the rooms (we were in room 3 - yes the one with the bath! - are... The Coylet Inn is a great little place. Let's be clear what it is not - its not a 5 star hotel, it doesn't have a pool or spa, I don't think any room has TV. But what it has got...a superb location on Loch Eck...see the pics below taken from our room, and a bath with a view...what a... More

I've stayed at this hotel several times over several years. It's small, but perfectly formed. The food is excellent and the Cullen Skink is to die for - just ask my kids! The place has changed hands in the (not too distant) past and the service has suffered a little with the change. The scenery makes up for a lot.

Our visit to this hotel made our trip to Scotland. We arrived in a state of organised chaos as one of the owners had fallen and broken her ankle and the "in laws" were manning the bar. However, they seemed to be doing a great job and everyone was very friendly and relaxed. The stairs on the way up to... More

We made two stops here last week and found the new owners to be extremely welcoming and attentive. The food is good and wholesome and with log fires burning in both rooms downstairs it was warm and comfortable. Not having stayed overnight, it would be unfair to comment further, although it is an intention to return and stay for a... More

Nice rooms with fantastic scenery, however the room did not have a TV and for the price of the room I expected more. The food was acceptable but nothing special. When we arrived, 2 members of staff just stared at us and it took them 5 minutes to actually serve us. The whistlefield inn, down the road is much nicer.
