We stayed here for two nights at the end of January as a base for our wee jaunt up Ben Hope. We had a fabulous time. Mandy and Lindsay were fantastic hosts; really friendly and chatty. Nothing was too much trouble. Although ‘incomers’ their local knowledge was second to none and they were only too happy to give us tips... More

Owned by a very friendly English couple, excellent value for money and good food (large portions of dinner, which is three course and brilliant cooked breakfast). I had a problem with my car whilst staying and they went out of their way to help, would thoroughly recommend this B and B to anyone wanting to stay in the area. More

I haven't stayed overnight in the Altnaharra B&B (due to it being fully booked) , but I was able to experience the warmth and hospitality of the place for a whole afternoon/evening during a holiday with friends in Schotland. We had an unfortunate accident with our car near (sort of, near is a stretchable concept in Schotland) Altnaharra which left... More

The Bed & Breakfast at Altnaharra is excellent value for money, and likewise the evening meal which we opted to have. The bedroom does not have television, and is perhaps a little dated, but at the price charged this is not a complaint! There is a comfortable lounge for guests that does have TV, and Wi-fi BroadBand is also available. The... More

This B&B is brilliant. When I booked the room I also booked for an evening meal which at £10 was extremely good value for money. The starter ( parsnip soup ) Main ( Venison steak ) and dessert ( Berry crumble) which I couldn't manage was very very tasty and very well cooked. Mandy and Lindsay were very welcoming and... More

they probably still wouldn't match the service and immensely friendly welcome from Mandy and Lindsay. We stayed for 3 nights and were genuinely sorry to leave such a wonderful location and friendly place. From the moment we arrived we were treated as old friends and this atmosphere just flows through the whole place. The service was excellent and nothing was... More

Altnaharra is an excellent place in which to stay as it provides access to so many places mostly within a 20-30 mile radius. Our stay at The Bed & Breakfast was a good choice as it allowed us to eat well in the evening, Mandy's food being both varied, and well cooked. There can be few better value meals in... More
