first impressions were very good. The location is stunning and the welcome from the lady on reception was very good. The room itself lived up to expectations and was very well appointed, comfortable and with views to die for. So with all this going for them why, oh why do they have to let themselves down so badly with their... more

I am lucky enough to have travelled all over the world in my personal and also work life and I have stayed in some amazing places. When my friend told me that I should stay in Scotland I thought great (sarcasm). The hotel is in an amazing location and leaves you with a sense of total peace and harmony. The... more

Stayed at the Rhiconich hotel from the Sunday 7th Dec to Thursday 11th Dec, and it was a brilliant, warm, welcoming stay. We had to work early in the morning, before breakfast was served, but the staff informed us they would leave cereal, juice etc out for us, but to also help ourselves in the kitchen each morninganything else for... more

The hotel is sited overlooking the most beautiful countryside and right on the edge of a lock. (Plenty of salmon fishing close by) The hotel caters for everyones needs having on... more

My stay at the Rhiconich was absolutely perfect. The room was spacious, spotless on arrival and had a modern bathroom. The view from the room's window was spectacular and included the sea loch opposite, the surrounding hillside and the mountain river that flowed into the loch. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was consistently delicious, as were the homebaked biscuits,... more

On a tour of the west coast, we stayed at the hotel for one night and found the room to be very clean and well decorated. It was the best value hotel of our stay. Also the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. more

I would like to say what a delightful place the Rhiconich Hotel is set amongst spectacular scenery. The Yates family and staff were always very pleasant and attentive, and they went out of their way to help and ensure all needs were met. All the meals we had in the hotel were excellent, and served quickly with a friendly smile.... more

I stayed at the Rhiconich back in June and can safely say I didn't encounter any of the staff problems mentioned in the previous reviews - and I stayed there for a week not just one night! Yes there are some renovations needed - and the owner gave me a detailed run through of what she has planned for the... more
