The room was a little on the small side but was very clean and had a good comfortable bed. The bathroom was quite large and would have benefited from a bath. Clean sheets and good breakfast, what else do you expect for the money ! Would stay again. There's a pub opposite but I didn't find it particularly troublesome, and there is a choice of takeaways nearby.

Stopped here on a cycle trip up the coast with 14 others. Had the place booked to ourselves. Owners very helpful. Place is clean and tidy. Rooms small and en suite was tiny. Stayed here on the first night of the Newcastle to Edinburgh cycle trip and they were very cheery over the phone and when first greeted. Owners seem to be trying very hard to make this somewhat run-down accommodation into a 'hotel'. Stayed Wed in a clean twin ensuite room, had a comfortable night sleep and enjoyed a lovely breakfast. Caroline, the host was helpful and welcoming. Stayed mid week so no noise from pubs over road. Good pub grub at the Wellwood further in town. Nice touch of binoculars on landing to look out over harbour.
