We have never, in the history of staying away from home, come across anywhere as dismal as this. We'll try to be as objective as possible in this review but it's not easy, as we have possibly been scarred for life by our experience.
We were greeted at the door by a lady who wasn't unfriendly, but her house looked and smelt as though it hadn't been cleaned in year. When we went inside we realised that we'd made a huge mistake booking this room. The thought of staying here overnight, and in particular sleeping in the bed, was unthinkable, so we made our excuses and fled in terror. We ended up sleeping on a friend's floor. Apparently the Aber Hotel on Crouch Hill is not so bad (and a similar price) but they didn't have any rooms that night, unfortunately.
