My husband and I had one night dinner, bed and breakfast at Trigony and we enjoyed it so much we intend to return in the spring. We have experienced some of the best hotels in the world e.g.- afternoon tea in Raffles, Singapore, lunch in the Burgh Al Arab, Dubai and stayed in the Waldorf Astoria, New York, and many... more

Fantastic stay. Very laid back and . A real treat compared to the normal business hotels I stay in. Beds were good, bedrooms large and the food was fantastic. We just had the house wine and it was great. There is something really nice about finishing your meal then sitting relaxing in front of a log stove. Staff were friendly and... more

We needed somewhere suitable for two couples, one in their forties and one in their seventies, half of us would go salmon fishing and the others relax closer to the hotel with a dog. We wanted great food and a warm welcome - we got lucky! Trigony was it. A great place to stay, lived in and very comfortable, and... more

I know you can hit a hotel on a bad day or a series of events can spoil your stay - however..... On average you would be hard pushed to fault Trigony in the context of its room rates. The welcome is very warm and homely - no Polish receptionist at a chain hotel desk. Trigony has slobbery black labs... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in July. The reviews were so good that we were looking forward to a real treat but we were a bit disappointed. The room and en-suite were certainly large but spoiled by mould in the shower , flaking paint on the ceiling and a very soft bed. Dinner was good and breakfast was fine... more

Wow - what a beautiful setting this hotel has! Very pastoral with a lovely garden. Our room was large and well decorated. The bathroom was also very spacious. The food was absolutely delicious!! Loved the laid back atmosphere here!! more

Frankly, this hotel is perfect. The hotel itself is a beautiful redbrick country house set within stunning grounds and gardens. It is traditionally decorated, but has some nice modern touches such as 'monsoon' showers in the bathrooms. One previous reviewer complained of a small room, but ours was very 'roomy' and comfortable. There are countless things that make this place... more

The best thing about this hotel is its beautiful grounds. The gardens are spectacular and blooming, even in May when all the other gardens in Scotland are still not in flower. The second best thing is the amenities and activities they offer. For instance, you can rent DVDs to watch in your room, or you can pay to participate in,... more

Lovely hotel to celebrate our first anniversary. The food was the best we ever tasted and our superior room was huge. Our two dogs were also made welcome with a map for walks around the hotel. Nice staff and beautiful gardens. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion. more
